Privacy statement
What this website collects, why, where it is held, and how to ask for it to be corrected or removed. Dated 28 September 2026.
designaide.com.au is run by Stephanie Wong, trading as Designaide (ABN 63 381 328 371), PO Box 1048, Double Bay NSW 1360.
Designaide is a small business. With turnover under $3 million it is not required to comply with the Privacy Act 1988, but it follows the Australian Privacy Principles anyway, because its clients handle sensitive information and expect their suppliers to do the same.
What the website collects, and why
- Email sign-up. Your name and email address, if you subscribe to the weekly brief or register at an event. Used only to send you that brief. Every email carries an unsubscribe option and a postal address, as the Spam Act 2003 requires.
- Bookings. Your name, email, phone number and the answers to three short questions, if you book a call. Used to run the call and follow up.
- Calls with Aimee. Aimee is an AI voice agent. Calls with her are recorded and transcribed so that Steph can read what you needed and decide whether to follow up. Aimee tells you at the start of the call that it is recorded. If you do not want to be recorded, end the call and email instead.
- Website analytics. Anonymous counts of pages visited. No advertising cookies and no tracking across other sites.
Where it is held
Email addresses in an email marketing platform, bookings in a scheduling tool, call recordings and transcripts with the voice-agent provider, and copies in Designaide's business cloud storage. Some of these providers store data in the United States. Providers are chosen for their published security practices, and every account uses two-factor authentication.
How long it is kept
Subscriber details until you unsubscribe. Booking details and call recordings for twelve months after the last contact, then deleted, unless you become a client, in which case they are kept with your client file for the life of the engagement.
What Designaide does not do
Your details are not sold, rented or shared with anyone else for their marketing. Information from your call or booking is not used for any purpose other than responding to you.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, ask what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email hello@designaide.com.au and you will have a reply within five business days. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
